Road safety events
Saturday, October 1st, 2022 a discussion was held successfully in the context of the action “What are you doing wrong in
Driving?”, with the aim of informing the bodies involved in management of offending driving behavior and traffic
accidents.
With keynote speaker, Mr. Nikos Tsadaris, member of Motosport, driver racing and specialist road safety instructor,
important information was given about the most frequent and dangerous ones mistakes that drivers make on the road and followed
open discussion with the agencies.
The Vice-region of Xanthi participated in the discussion with Deputy Governor, Mr. Costas Kourtidis and the authorities
officials of the Department of Transportation, the Municipality Xanthi with the Mayor of Xanthi, Manoli Tsepeli, the Municipality of Abdira with
the representative of the Mayor of Abdira, Deputy Mayor Mr. Filippos Malousaris, the Police Director of Xanthi, Mr. Paschalis Giori and
officers of the Xanthi Traffic Police, the Xanthi Hospital with the Director of the Surgical Clinic Mr. Georgios Georgiou, the Medical Association Xanthi, the Xanthi Red Cross and the Volunteer Rescuers, the representatives of the Fire Service, EKAV, Schools Drivers Schools and drivers.
Due to the increased interest, the action will continue until evening of October 4, 2022 in the square of Magiko Xanthi and on Thursday and Friday 5 and 6 October 2022, upon request of the Municipality of Xanthi, the ECO TRUCK will be located in the Central Square
of Xanthi where every interested driver will be able to in conditions driving simulator to spot his potential mistakes.
