New Year’s Cake Cutting Ceremony 2014

On January 26, 2014, the “STAVROS HALIORIS” Community Center held its traditional New Year’s Cake Cutting Ceremony for its members.

Children participating in the Center’s programs and their families, members of the Magiko Senior Citizens’ Center (KAPI), the President and members of the Board of Directors, as well as the Mayor of Avdira, Mr. Vasilis Tsolakidis, and the Deputy Mayor, Mr. Dalakouras, who honored the event with their presence, attended the celebration.

Guests enjoyed songs performed by the Children’s Choir and a wonderful Karagiozis shadow puppet performance by Apostolos Domtzidis and his team, introducing the younger audience to this beloved Greek folk tradition while awakening fond memories for the older generations.
