On February 18 and 25, 2019, the Traditional Dance Groups of the “STAVROS HALIORIS” Community Center participated for the third consecutive year in the Thracian Folk Festival of the Municipality of Xanthi.
The children’s groups performed traditional dances from Western Thrace, while the adult group presented dances from the Kozani region. All performances also featured traditional Greek folk songs. The dancers of all ages gave outstanding performances and were warmly applauded by the audience.
The Community Center sincerely thanks the Magiko Cultural Association for providing the traditional costumes for the children’s group and extends its warm appreciation to the traditional dance instructor, Mr. Kyriakos Athanasiadis, for his dedication and excellent preparation of the dancers.
