On Saturday, January 18, 2020, the “STAVROS HALIORIS” Community Center organized a day trip to Thessaloniki.

The excursion began with a visit to the NOESIS Science Center and Technology Museum. Children from primary school to the first year of junior high explored the interactive exhibition “Odyssey,” where the adventures of Odysseus came to life through engaging displays and hands-on activities. Older students visited the Museum of Science and Technology, exploring exhibitions on Ancient Greek Technology, Transportation Technology, and the interactive Technopark.

After the visit to NOESIS, participants enjoyed free time at the Mediterranean Cosmos shopping center before gathering for lunch and the Community Center’s traditional New Year’s Cake Cutting Ceremony (Vasilopita) at Koryfi Restaurant in Retziki, Thessaloniki.

The Community Center warmly thanks all the children and their families for their excellent cooperation, which helped make the excursion a memorable experience for everyone.
