On Sunday, May 19, 2019, the “STAVROS HALIORIS” Community Center successfully hosted its 2nd Open Chess Tournament.

Thirty children participated in the tournament, which was played over four rounds. The participants were welcomed by Mr. Apostolos Kylitsis, Porto Lagos Harbor Master and member of the Community Center’s Board of Directors. All the children enjoyed the competition and received commemorative certificates for their participation.

Warm congratulations to all the young chess players and to Mrs. Nikoleta Kypraki, instructor of the Community Center’s Chess Department, for another successful event.
