On Saturday, April 6, 2019, the “STAVROS HALIORIS” Community Center hosted a screening of Disney-Pixar’s Coco as part of its “Kids, Let’s Go to the Movies!” program.
Before the screening, the children were introduced to Mexican culture and the themes explored in the film. Together, they discussed the importance of family, love, following one’s dreams, the power of music, and remembering those we have lost, discovering how cherished memories keep loved ones alive in our hearts.
The warm applause at the end of the film was the best reward and a clear sign of the event’s success.
