On Saturday, May 25, 2019, the “STAVROS HALIORIS” Community Center organized a day trip for its members to the Drama region.
The excursion began in Ptelea, where participants visited the Museum of Agricultural Development and Folklore of Refugee Hellenism. Housed in the village’s former primary school, the museum offers a fascinating insight into the everyday life of the refugees who settled in the area. The Community Center warmly thanks Mrs. Anastasia Karaidou for her informative guided tour.
The group then visited the Park of Birds of Prey in the village of Agora, where Mr. Eleftheriadis introduced visitors to the region’s birds and presented an impressive live demonstration of their remarkable abilities.
The excursion concluded at Ktima Paradeisio in Adriani, Drama, where the children enjoyed playing in nature and meeting a variety of animals, including llamas, deer, reindeer, horses, and donkeys.
The Community Center sincerely thanks everyone who contributed to the excellent organization of the trip, as well as all the children and their families for their cooperation throughout this memorable day.
