On February 23rd, our Chess Departments at the Social Center “Stavros Halioris” participated in the Blitz Tournament and the Internal Tournament organized by the Xanthi Chess Club for their annual New Year’s cake cutting event.
Our chess players achieved significant distinctions:
In the second category, in the Blitz matches:
- 3rd place: Panagiotis Vogiatzoglou
- 1st girl: Sofia Genouzi
- 1st under 16: Stylianos Genouzis
- 1st under 14: Iosif Genouzis
In the Internal Christmas Tournament:
- Under 12 category: 1st girl: Thalia Sopiadi
- Under 14 category: 1st girl: Marina Isaakidou
