On Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 6:30 p.m., the “STAVROS HALIORIS” Community Center had the pleasure of hosting the shadow puppet performance “The Three Good Pieces of Advice”, presented by Apostolos Domtzidis and his “Karagiozis Fairy Tales” troupe.
As the creator aptly notes, “Shadow theatre is an art form with ancient roots. Karagiozis is the first modern Greek theatre and an important part of Greece’s oral tradition. Even today, especially in times of hardship, he continues to speak to audiences, as he represents the ordinary Greek—poor but courageous, resilient, and determined despite life’s challenges.”
